THE STORY OF… IS THE NEXT CHAPTER IN AMERICAN WHISKEY

We’re called The Story Of for a reason. Well actually for a few reasons…

Something we love about American whiskey is the stories and the characters who have made it over the years. Every trip to Kentucky ends up with more tales that add colour and depth that goes beyond the spirit. The Story Of… is our homage to those who have gone before us, and those who continue to add chapters to the story of bourbon.

Beyond the stories, there’s also something magical about the way we see bourbon and rye whiskey being consumed. Be it with strangers at a bar, or sat around a bbq with friends and family, every time we drink bourbon, people start sharing their stories. There’s something in human nature, that desire to connect, and a pour or two of great whiskey seems to lubricate the conversation.

There is also something about American whiskey that we want to turn on its head. Every barrel of whiskey is unique with its own character, aroma, flavour and finish. Most brands are handcuffed by their success and have to blend their batches down to a consistent base flavour. This means that some of those exceptional barrels get lost in the blend. We decided to ignore convention and seek out the unique and exceptional barrels that we fall in love with, blend them in small batches, and let each batch retain a unique character that can’t be replicated, and really that IS the story of bourbon…
